Over the years, many generous supporters in both prayer and finances have been receiving the Mission Gram through the mail. As the times have changed, we at the Yonkers Gospel Mission have realized the need to move our regular hard copy delivered via “snail mail” to an online digital format.
In doing so, we have the potential of keeping far more supporters informed and also of capturing the interest of a far broader audience. In addition, we can keep our costs lower and put those funds towards other needed areas.
Please sign up for the Mission Gram and be kept up-to-date on all the latest news and needs and prayer requests. We look forward to being able to update you on a regular basis. Thank you for your support!
We are a group of Bible-believing, Christ-loving people who want to provide help to the needy, especially the substance abuser, and tell about and demonstrate Christ’s love to each man who comes through our doors.
The Lord Jesus said…
“He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are crushed by the calamities of the world.” (Luke 4:18)
We provide not only for the physical needs of the man, but our concern is more for the spiritual needs of the individual.
We deal with man’s problem of sin. The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only thing that can cure man’s problem of sin. The Lord Jesus came all the way from heaven to this earth just to die for our sin and take the place we deserved. By doing this He provided a way for us to go to heaven and live with Him for all eternity. Furthermore, we believe when one recieves Christ as Savior, eternal life in Christ begins. A brand new life and a new lifestyle begin.
This is why our program provides spiritual counseling and requires attendence at a morning Bible study at 8:00 am and at an evening Gospel hour at 7:30 pm.
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Do you believeth this?”
Our purpose is to provide food, shelter and clothing for homeless men in a safe and clean living environment where the Word of God can be preached and the love of Christ can be shown.
